Van-Star Adventure, swing away bike carrier with hinge on the left side

The Van-Star Adventure, with aluminium light board and bike rails, has a distinguished appearance and is perfectly suitable for the transport of e-bikes and city bikes. The Van-Star Adventure has a black steel frame. The compact foldable platform is easily foldable and is lockable in both lowered and upright positions and the carriers are removable without tools.

The design is compact and lightweight. The hinge available on the left or the right side The hinge on the left side provides more safety, the pivoting bar swivels to the sidewalk side and not towards the road. The hinge on the right provides comfort, this way both rear doors can be openen and you have easy access to your belongings. Thanks to the door stopper the hinge locks in the ‘open’ position preventing from unexpected closure caused by strong wind or uneven ground. 

The carrier is mounted to the chassis and not to the hinges of the rear doors. This is ideal for e-bikes since they are placed at knee height and the bikes do not have to be lifted high.

The bicycle carrier is supplied complete for the transport of two (electric) bicycles, is equipped with a lightboard with cabling and a 13-pole 'Jaeger' plug. The maximum load capacity is 75 kg, the carrier is made of powdercoated steel and finished with aluminum parts. The Van-Star Adventure is approx. 80cm deep, collapsed this is 27cm and the lightboard has a width of 140 cm.

The carrier is available for:

• Fiat Ducato, Peugeot Boxer and Citroen Relay/Jumper from 2006 onwards
• Mercedes Sprinter, Volkswagen (New) Crafter and MAN TGE from 1996 onwards
• Volkswagen T5/T6

A vehicle specific wiring kit is not included and has to be ordered seperately. The swing away bycicle carrier for campervans can be fitted to the chassis in combination with a towbar.

The advantage of having the hinge on the left hand side of the van:

• Safety, the pivoting bar swivels to the sidewalk side and not towards the road.
• Convenience, the right door can be easily opened to grab something quickly.

The advantage of having the hinge on the right side of the van conversion:

• Comfort, you do not have to walk around the pivoting arm to get to the rear doors.
• Convenience,  the right door opens first, the carrier does not have to be opened all the way.

The Van-Star is also available in a sporty version with premium bike rails and narrow lightbar: Van-Star E-Cross.

Our bicycle carriers are suitable for transporting bicycles and e-bikes, standard supplied with bike shoes (with straps) and bicycle arms. We recommend that you always secure the bikes extra with a strap for safety. In addition, a wide variety of bicycle models is available, which means that additional fasteners may be necessary for the safe transport of your bicycles.
